304 is the stainless steel form that most people use worldwide. It contains 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel.
316 stainless steel has the same physical and mechanical properties as 304 but contains 2 to 3 percent molybdenum, which makes it more corrosion-resistant against industrial solvents and chlorides.
